Previous experience: During my undergraduate studies and for three years following, I successfully tutored many high school students in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, PreCalculus, Statistics and more Why I want to tutor: I really enjoy the teaching aspect of tutoring, working one on one with junior high and high school aged students. I believe many math concepts are possible to grasp with the correct instruction that may not happen in the classroom. I enjoy figuring out the best ways to explain things for different learning styles. I also like to help parents out by working with their children as it can often be much more productive to work with someone outside your family :) Other: I have a Masters of Public Health degree in Public Health and currently work for the California Department of Public Health doing data analyst. I am looking for opportunities to tutor to have the chance to continue developing teaching skills and engage with families in my community.

Hobbies
I have spent most of my life living in Southern California, but moved to the East Bay a year and a half ago to work in public health. I am looking for tutoring opportunities to engage my teaching skills. In my free time, I enjoy soaking up the sun, continuing to explore the Bay Area, and drinking coffee. I like to dabble in art - drawing and photography - and am currently training for my first (sprint) triathlon.
